KAPITANO @ MODEM FESTIVAL 2023

Kapitano started playing progressive and psychedelic trance back in 2003 in Ibiza, after being struck at the legendary „Liquid Connective“ and „Id-Spiral“ parties in London.

For the first few years, he played under the name of (dj) Maat for the Italian label Pixan Recordings. Thereafter, his musical research flows freely between genres, from balkan beat to afro-beat and mestizo rhythms, in search of a fusion among psychedelia, techno and world sounds.

From 2010 to 2018 he lived in Budapest, where he co-founded Visionary Mind Records label, which produces ambient and electronic downtempo at “Muszi” studio lab. He has also sound-designed for some touring theatrical works. He has performed at the alternative stages of numerous Italian and international festivals, including Wao, Seven Chakra, Ozora, Modem and Goulash Disko Festival.
